Children at Orphanage

Success on test

One hundred percent of the grade 7 students at the Chande Baptist School  passed their grade seven test recently. This is unusual by Zambian standards because in most schools only a small portion pass. We are grateful for the dedicated staff and teachers that made this good news possible. Trying to prepare orphans for their future educational and spiritually is the goal of the Chande Baptist Orphanage in Kitwe.

Chande Orphanage Training Center

God's Provision

The Chande Baptist Training Center was formerly used by the Coppermines as a library. When the Coppermines no longer needed the building, they put the building up for audition. Rev. Chanda made a bid knowing that God would have to provide the funds to purchase the building. Two days after successfully winning the bid, the funds became available to purchase the building. Now 400 children attend school in the Training Center. In addition about 25 ladies from the community are learning sewing skills to provide for their own provisions in life.

Church leaders attend Bible School

Solwezi Leaders Training

Some church leaders walk or ride their bike for up to 25 miles to attend Bible School. They provide their own food and bedding and meet in a centrally located church near the town of Solwezi, Zambia. There is a need for a missionary to work in this area to give encouragement, training, and help in starting new churches in the Northwestern Province of Zambia.
