For the past two Thursdays I have been sharing the gospel at the women's meeting at Kamilulu Baptist Church using a method called Creation to Christ. Basically, it is sharing short stories from the Word of God beginning in Genesis up through Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection. I shared half of it last week and finished it up this week. About the Chikunda
The Chikunda people were not formerly a tribe. Chikunda is a word for soldier; the Portuguese used these people as soldiers on their plantations. Over the years as the Portuguese influence waned between Tete and Zumbo, several slaves ran away and several of the warlike soldiers who had traded their services for helping their masters catch slaves also ran away.
